Benefits of On-Campus Employment
There are many benefits for students who are successful both inside the classroom and in the workplace. Through on-campus employment students have the chance to build valuable skills such as time management, communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and career management, in addition to many others that future employers are looking for. Working on campus or in the community also helps students connect with resources that may help them with challenges in and out of the classroom.
We are open 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday-Friday and are located inside the Career Center, which is next to the Welcome Center and the Fountain. Please know that Student Employment Programs is here to assist you in anyway possible.
You can contact us at (812) 237-8887 or ISU-STUDENT-EMPLOYMENT@tamilfolksongs.com. We look forward to connecting with you!
The Federal Work Study (FWS) program at Indiana State University is a subsidized employment program for students with financial need. To be eligible, students must file the FAFSA, be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, and maintain satisfactory academic progress. FWS positions can be on-campus or off-campus, and students are paid bi-weekly through direct deposit. The program allows students to earn money for personal expenses without affecting their financial aid for the next year. Students are encouraged to start their job search early, as popular positions fill up quickly.
